CORONATION Street’s Leanne Battersby got the shock of her life as her baby boy Oliver FELL ill on a family day out.
Leanne was joined on the trip by her family and friends and began tending to Oliver once she noticed something was wrong.
The personal assistant was joined by Oliver’s father Steve as they took a stroll with their baby boy on what looked like a blustery day in the park.
Leanne’s son Simon, Tracey, her daughter Amy and sister Emma were also in tow as they all enjoyed some family time together.
The mood would soon change as Leanne, played by Jane Danson, was seen bending down tending to Oliver who was sat in a pram.
Her boyfriend Nick Tilsley, who was also part of the group, looked worried as Leanne continued to investigate what was wrong with her son.
Steve meanwhile, was seen having yet another argument with the brash Tracey Barlow, whilst everyone else was concerned for poor Oliver.
Avid Corrie fans saw this coming, as they predicted the toddler will be struck down by a heartbreaking illness after noticing he’s “always tired”.
Writing in a fan forum, one viewer shared his in-laws’ opinion, writing: “She also thinks Oliver is heading for an illness storyline because of the comments over how tired he always is!”
Another agreed, replying: “Yep Ollie is definitely heading up to Weatherfield General at some point.”
Last month Oliver coughed all over his birthday cake.
The youngster celebrated his big day by blowing out candles – but only after spluttering on them.
The germ blast didn’t seem to bother the characters – but viewers were less relaxed, with one tweeting: “Oliver blowing his cough all over the cake.”
Another asked: “Did the kid on #corrie just cough all over the cake?”
Last month fans of the soap voiced concern that Ollie will end up in danger after show bosses promised a tragic exit for Liz.
Cobbles legend Beverley Callard is leaving the soap after 30 years, and viewers know she is not going to be killed off.
However, showrunner Iain MacLeod teased: “something horrific occurs that draws in a few different clans on the Street, and forces them to deal with the hardest thing anyone would ever have to deal with.”
Fans are convinced it has something to do with little Oliver and his demise.
