Coronation Street spoilers: Robert Preston killed by Tyler Jeffries in revenge twist?

Robert (played by Tristan Gemmill) has been sneaking around lately and last night, Coronation Street viewers learned The Bistro owner has been having a secret romance with Vicky (Kerri Quinn).

It was also revealed that Vicky is expecting his baby just as Robert has decided to call time on their fling.

Robert wants to reunite with estranged wife Michelle (Kym Marsh), who is also keen to get their relationship back on track.

And, it’s safe to say Vicky isn’t too happy about his plans for the future without her.

In a shocking twist fans could see Vicky’s troublesome son Tyler (Will Barnett) attack and kill Robert in an act of revenge.

Vicky will confide in her son about what has happened and the teen erupts with fury, determined to make him pay.

Fans of the long-running ITV soap know Tyler has caused plenty of trouble in the past.

Earlier this year it was revealed he was the father of Amy Barlow’s (Elle Mulvaney) unborn child and had threatened young Simon Barlow (Alex Bain).

It’s clear how far Tyler will go to show his family isn’t to be messed with – could he murder Robert?

The Bistro owner is expected to leave the cobbles very soon and with Tyler on the warpath, it could be in a body bag.

Fans will have to wait and see if Robert is able to escape Tyler’s wrath and make a fresh start with Michelle.

Actor Tristan has since teased a happy ending but he could be throwing fans off the scent.

He told Radio Times: “I’d like to think so, but this is a soap opera so there are always many obstacles thrown in the way!

“Robert has a very tricky period ahead of spinning two plates at the same time, without one plate finding out about another plate’s existence.

“Sooner or later all the plates will come crashing down!”

Elsewhere on the cobbles, Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) could be about to get some devastating news.

Coming episodes will see the new mum head to the hospital for the results of an MRI scan.

She will return home to baby son Bertie but is overcome with emotion and flees leaving her aunt Beth (Lisa George) with the tot.

Fans will have to wait and see what Sinead has learned but it doesn’t look like she and husband Daniel (Rob Mallard) will get the happy ending they want.

Coronation Street continues Monday on ITV at 7.30pm.
