Coronation Street spoilers: Geoff infuriates fans with 'cruel' action towards Yasmeen

Coronation Street resident Yasmeen Nazir (played by Shelley King) has been subject to Geoff Metcalfe’s (Ian Bartholemew) coercive behaviour since embarking on a relationship with him. His latest scheme has made him convince his wife she is an alcoholic, but things got worse tonight as Geoff forced Yasmeen to drink alcohol after a successful AA meeting, leaving viewers outraged at his behaviour.

The past few months have seen Geoff step up his attempts to keep new wife Yasmeen under his complete control.

He has become obsessive towards his wife and has made steps to stop her from socialising.

Most recently, Geoff managed to convince his wife she was an alcoholic as she decided to seek help.

Tonight saw her husband’s coercive behaviour continue as he re emphasised her issue with alcohol – which she does not really have.

Yazmeen insisted she did not want to drink, but her husband forced her to “drink every last drop”.

Viewers were left outraged by his latest schemes on Twitter, labelling him as “beyond cruel” and “sick”.

One viewer said: “That Geoff is a piece of work. First he makes Yasmeen believe she is an alcoholic when she isn’t and now he is b***** forcing wine down her neck. I feel sick at the sight of him. Poor Yasmeen #coronationstreet.”

Another echoed: “This Geoff and Yasmeen storyline on Corrie actually makes me feel sick and so uncomfortable to watch  #coronationstreet.”

“Hurry up and kill Geoff, the vile little t*** #Corrie #CoronationStreet,” wrote a third.

“Geoff is beyond cruel  #CoronationStreet,” commented a fourth.

Another shared: “‘Geoff knows best’ somebody kill him please! #Corrie #CoronationStreet.”

His son Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is set to find Yasmeen locked in a box next week as Geoff insists he is not responsible.

Will he finally uncover the horrific abuse his father has subjected Yasmeen too, or will things get even worse?
