Coronation Street spoilers: Gary Windass in danger as character returns to expose him?

One of the ITV soap’s suspects in the frame is Gary Windass (played by Mikey North) who was doing building work on the factory.

However, on top of that he may have other things to worry about when one character returns to Coronation Street.

Menacing money-lender Rick Neelan (Greg Wood) will be back in Weatherfield soon as Gary’s problems grow.

The loan shark is coming back to the street as part of a storyline concerning Gary and his financial woes.

The builder has been having some money issues which have only been getting worse as he’s kept quiet about it.

Gary takes out a massive loan from Rick and of course doesn’t tell anyone.

He hopes he can pay Rick off with the £9,000 hush money given to him by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).

However, of course, it won’t be that simple as Rick has other things in mind.

It looks as though Gary could end up being a henchman of Rick’s as he’s forced to carry out his dirty work to avoid trouble.

Although it will probably lead to Gary having even more problems.

Rick first arrived on the Street when Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) then-husband Joe McIntyre (Reece Hinsdale) had money difficulties and went to the baddie for a loan.

Gary’s issues come as soap boss Iain MacLeod has said the roof collapse will lead to the emergence of a new Corrie villain.

But Gary isn’t the only one who might be responsible.

Peter, Carla Connor (Alison King), Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) and Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmail) have all been singled out as possible culprits.

In an upcoming episode held as a memorial for Rana (Bhanva Limbachia), Carla shocks the crowd with a confession.

Guilt finally gets the better of her as she knew the roof was in bad shape and she tells the mourners she knew something was wrong.

But Carla may live to regret what she says at she could lose her nearest and dearest.

As a result of her admission, Roy Cropper (David Neilson) ends up asking her leave his home.

The news will also no doubt come as a devastating blow to her sister Kate (Faye Brookes), who was Rana’s partner.

Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
