Coronation Street spoilers: Chesney in tears as Joseph's gran returns after kidnap hell

Things are set to get emotional for Chesney Brown on Corrie.

Our exclusive snaps show the lad, played by Sam Aston, having a poignant hug with son Joseph (Lucca-Owen Warwick) as his gran Linda (Jacqueline Leonard) looks on.

An insider said: “These snaps suggest all is not well. It looks like Joseph could be heading off and leaving dad Chesney behind. Fans might want to stock up on tissues.”

The scenes will air on the ITV soap later this year.

Linda is the mother of Joseph’s late mum Katy Armstrong (Georgia Foote).

Recent Coronation Street scenes saw Joseph Brown go missing after being bullied at school.

His dad Chesney was frantic after finding that his 10-year-old son had disappeared when he went to talk to him in the back yard, thinking that he was hiding away in a den.

After a fruitless search, Chesney returned home and revealed that Joseph had run away while his partner Gemma Winter called the police.

Viewers were appalled when the cameras then panned to his 11-year-old cousin Hope Stape helping to hide him away in the loft at mum Fiz’s house.
