BETHANY Platt is on cloud nine in Coronation Street next week when she finally gets together with Ryan Connor.
The pair have been circling each other for months but never really got very far.
But this week they finally consummate their relationship after Bethany – played by Lucy Fallon in the ITV soap – lands Ryan a DJ-ing gig at Speed Dahl.
Ryan’s delighted and moves in to thank Bethany with a kiss, but she recoils, leaving Ryan thinking she’s not interested. Back at home Bethany tells her mum Sarah Platt that she really likes Ryan but it worried she’s ruined things now.
Sarah gives Bethany some words of encouragement, but it looks like it could be too little too late as Ryan has set up a date with Alya Nazir.
Bethany gets Ryan – Ryan Prescott – over to the salon flat and tells him she owes him an apology and an explanation for her behaviour. She then bares her soul to him and confesses that she was scared.
They kiss and move things to the bedroom. But where does this leave Alya?
Well, she’s pretty hurt when she sees Ryan and Bethany together on the Street, clearly very loved up.
So what will she say when Ryan later begs her not to tell Bethany that he made a move on her?
Ryan’s secret is soon out though and Bethany is furious. He insists he only asked Alya out because Bethany made him think she wasn’t interested. Bethany’s having none of it though and it looks like their fledgling romance is over before it’s even really begun.
But when Alya, who’s quick to forgive Ryan, tells him not to give up on Bethany so easily, he’s grateful for her advice. Will he be able to win Bethany back?
