Coronation Street spoilers: Alya Nazir flees with Yasmeen after Eileen Grimshaw bombshell?

One of Geoff’s sickening plots saw him lock Yasmeen in his magician’s box after their trick went wrong in front of some of their closest friends.

At the time, Eileen became concerned when Tim told her what had happened: “It’s not very normal Tim, if a bloke locked me in a box it would be a sure sign I needed to get out, out the relationship.

“If I’d been locked in a box, I’d need some space. Even so, your dad’s reaction when the trick went wrong, he was very snappy,” she added.

Now, it seems Eileen could be a lifeline for Yasmeen as Alya gets to work on trying to find out more about who Geoff really is.

“There are a lot of unanswered questions and she can’t quite tie the whole picture together, there are bad reviews, there is missing money,” she revealed.

“Yasmeen isn’t working as much or seeing her friends as much, now they want to move away, and Eileen tells her about Yasmeen getting locked in the box.

“She is not privy to the whole picture, she is just getting snippets that are making her feel uneasy,” Sair noted.

Upcoming scenes will see Alya start to unravel more about Geoff’s past as she decides to go to the police with the help of Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor).

Sair added: “At the point where Goeff wants to move to Cyprus, Alya is so scared and worried. She fears that Yasmeen is going to be even more isolated and once he gets her out of the country it will be even harder to free her from his control.

“She just thinks she has to take the situation into her own hands. She feels she has tried the softly, softly tactic but she now believes she has to do the right thing and swoop in and be the hero and look after Yasmeen.

“That backfires quite dramatically with potentially dangerous consequences for Yasmeen because she is so under Geoff’s spell that something like this could do a lot of damage.”

Alya starts packing up Yasmeen’s things up as she urges her to leave Geoff after realising his true colours.

Will Alya’s words manage to convince Yasmeen to finally escape her abusive husband, or will she find herself in even more danger?

Coronation Street continues on Monday at 7:30pm on ITV
