Coronation Street fans point out major blunder as police question Gary Windass


Coronation Street fans spotted a huge gaffe in tonight’s episode of the ITV soap when Gary Windass (Mikey North) was questioned by the police.

The blunder distracted viewers from the drama of the Boxing Day episode with Weatherfield residents still reeling from Derek Milligan’s rampage in yesterday’s Christmas special.

The mass shooting saw Derek go on a shooting spree against loan shark Gary, killing Robert after he got caught in the crossfire.

He also shot Shona and Gary before falling to his death from the street’s Helter Skelter.

Tonight’s visit to the Weatherfield saw the police visit Gary to try and find out why Derek was targeting him.

The policewomen was joined by a detective as they interrogated the villain at his home but made an unfortunate mistake as she got up to leave the property.

Putting the hat on her head as she got up from the sofa, viewers noticed that the iconic police badge was at the back as she walked out of the house.

Taking to Twitter, one tickled viewer wrote: “Did Corrie not notice the police women put her hat on back to front when they left Gary?”

Another added: “The policewoman talking to Gary Windass puts her hat on back to front, awkward.”

Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) was left horrified when he was told that wife Shona (Julia Goulding) may never recover from the attack.

The character slipped into coma after deteriorating in hospital, with doctors explaining that her brain had ben deprived of oxygen.

Shona Platt star Julia Goulding is currently on maternity leave from the ITV soap with The Sun revealing that hr character will be in coma until the period is up.

The awkward gaffe distracted viewers from the latest Weatherfield drama

The actress, 34, welcomed a baby boy in November after going into early labour.

Julia revealed she ha given birth to Franklin wolf Silver in November in a touching Instagram post showing a snap of her with husband Ben Silver.

The Corrie star’s friends, family and colleague all rushed to congratulate the couple on their happy news.
