Investing.com – Corning reported third quarter that beat analysts’ expectations on Tuesday and revenue that topped forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $0.44 on revenue of $2.97B. Analysts polled by Investing.com expected EPS of $0.4 on revenue of $2.88B. That compared to EPS of $0.51 on revenue of $3.05B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $0.45 on revenue of $2.99B in the previous quarter.

For the year, Corning shares are up 1.32%, under-performing the which is up 22.71% year to date.
