Cool stay of the week: a cosy, winter Wye Valley getaway

The Little House in the Wye Valley – that straddles the border between England and Wales – is, as its name suggests, quaint in size.

But the cosy home more than makes up for its smaller size with its clever Hygge-inspired design.

Snuggle up to your loved one in the double cocoon in the back yard and star gaze through the oak branches of the tree above. Inside you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare a romantic meal for two.

The living area has a stylish, minimal design with creative use of the space throughout. You’ll find bookshelves under the stairs, trinkets on the shelves and the white washed walls are complimented with hand-selected pieces of art.

Above the living area you’ll find a mezzanine bedroom with a king-sized bed and the French doors below lead out into the closed garden area.

The Little House is ideally located for exploring both the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean. There are several beautiful walking and bike trails to be discovered right on the doorstep suiting all needs, from those who want a pleasant stroll to those who want to hike up the hills.
