Conor McGregor 'to be charged over alleged assault' after video appears to show him punch man

Conor McGregor will reportedly be charged over an alleged assault in a Dublin pub.

A video surfaced on Thursday appearing to show McGregor punch a man who declined a shot of his whiskey.

The incident took place in April at the Marble Arch pub and police have since been investigating.

And according to the Irish Sun, McGregor will now be hauled into court to answer a minor assault charge.

The video shows McGregor walking into the pub and ordering a bottle of his own Proper Twelve Whiskey.

He pours three shots, clinks glasses with one man, and then appears to land a left hand on another after he declined the offer.

The fighter was then dragged out of the bar by his minders before the alleged victim made a complaint to police.

A source told the Irish Sun: “The file was completed, sent to the DPP and after its examination the decision has been made to charge McGregor with the lowest form of assault.

“He will now have to appear in court to answer the charge.”

McGregor has not fought in the UFC since he was beaten by lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov last October.

McGregor was comprehensively beaten by Nurmagomedov

Earlier this year, the 31-year-old was accused of smashing  and stealing Ahmed Abdirzak’s phone outside a Miami Beach hotel.

He was arrested on March 11 with police stating alleged victim Abdirzak was taking a picture of McGregor outside a hotel when he slapped the man’s phone out of his hand.

But in May Abdirzak dropped the lawsuit and reached an out-of-court settlement with McGregor.
