Conor McGregor tells Tyson Fury and Ben Davison to get back together after split

Conor McGregor has told Tyson Fury to mend his relationship with trainer Ben Davison in order to beat Deontay Wilder .

Davison, who helped Fury back from the brink of suicide and to a draw with Wilder last year, announced the pair had split.

The decision came as a shock with Fury due to take on heavyweight world champion Wilder again on February 22.

Fury has since announced he will work with Sugar Hill, nephew of the late Emmanuel Steward whom the Brit held in high regard.

But McGregor tweeted on Monday: “Get over it men and get back to work. Finish the job.”

Davison jokingly replied, “It all started with him trying to take the job!”, presumably in reference to Fury claiming he would work with McGregor ahead of a potential move to mixed martial arts.

Davison had also insisted there was no ill-feeling behind the split and that the pair would remain friends.

He tweeted on Sunday: “Obviously it’s not gonna stop until there’s an answer, Tyson and myself had to both make decisions for our careers which resulted in our working relationship coming to an end.

Davison says he and Fury remain friends

“However, we remain friends and he will smash the dosser!”

Fury’s sequel with Wilder has not yet been announced but is due to take place in Las Vegas in just 10 weeks.

The pair have each fought twice since their controversial draw last December with Fury’s dad John critical of Davison after his son’s win over Otto Wallin in September.

Fury Snr said: “I am a straight talker and that is the worst I have ever seen him.

McGregor urged the pair to get back together ahead of the Wilder fight

“I have half an idea what went wrong but I cannot share it. He has done an eight-week camp but his strength and power have gone.

“He was as weak as a kitten. His body looked a lot softer tonight. He is not an 18st fighter, he wants to be body beautiful.

“I have seen this coming. I saw this coming.
