Conor McGregor has offered his respect to both Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder ahead of their rematch on Saturday night, after the pair of heavyweights brawled at a Las Vegas press conference on Wednesday night.

Fury and Wilder went face-to-face ahead of their highly-anticipated rematch and were allowed to get physical, with minimal security on stage.

After plenty of verbal sparring there was some pushing and shoving between the two heavyweights, which was eventually broken up before any damage was done.

UFC superstar McGregor was unfazed by the shenanigans on stage, and actually praised the maturity of the Gypsy King and the Bronze Bomber in a tweet responding to the raucous press conference.

The Notorious tweeted: ‘Big respect to both men here. Both jaw breakers in scenarios like that past. Without doubt.

‘Maturity! Excellent. We are in for an amazing fight this weekend.

‘Brought to you by Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey.’

Wilder is putting his WBC heavyweight title on the line for a second time against Fury after they fought to a 12 round draw in December 2018.

Their first meeting was a classic, with the Brit out-boxing the American for the majority of the contest, but Wilder’s explosive power putting Fury down twice to leave the scorecards level.

A draw in a heavyweight title fight is extremely rare, but it cannot be ruled out in the rematch, with the bookmakers unable to split the two in the pre-fight odds.

Meanwhile, McGregor is still waiting for his next fight to be announced after dispatching Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds on his return to to the UFC last month.

ESPN report Nate Diaz and Justin Gaethje as the most likely next opponents for the Irishman, while a clash with the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson looming later in the year.

McGregor is a fan of Fury, but claimed the Gypsy King invented a conversation that he claimed they had.

Fury has been teasing a move into MMA, and claimed he has spoken to McGregor about training him and helping him make the switch from boxing.

The Irishman said last month: ‘Tyson keeps saying me and him spoke and said I would train him. I never spoke to Tyson in me life, so I don’t know why he’s saying that.’
