Conor McGregor blacklisted by Irish pub as staff pour whiskey down toilet

An Irish bar in Florida has announced it would no longer carry McGregor’s whiskey product or associate its business with his name.

The Salty Shamrock issued a statement in what it described as an ‘official notice’ posted on its Facebook page.

It stated: “Due to the recent cowardly and appalling behavior of the so-called Irish professional fighter Conor McGregor , the Salty Shamrock Irish Pub will no longer carry his product nor associate its business with his name.

“We will discard his whiskey in a fashion that’s only fitting to his behavior.

“I challenge every Irish bar owner to do the same!

Staff pour Conor McGregor’s whiskey down the toilet

“He is not a true representative of the Irish people.”

In a video posted alongside it bar manager Sean Rice and other staff can be seen grabbing bottles of McGregor’s whiskey – and pouring them down the toilet.

Referring to a banner of McGregor displayed above the urinal he says “that’s the lowlife right there” before unceremoniously dumping the liquor down the cistern.

The pub’s decision comes after a video emerged appearing to show McGregor punch an elderly man in a Dublin bar.

The footage shows McGregor buying a bottle of his own Proper Twelve whiskey before pouring three shots.

McGregor was involved in an altercation

He and another man downed the drink but a third man declined the offer.

McGregor took offence and appeared to punch him in the head before he was ushered out of the pub by his minders.

A source told the Irish Mirror: “The fella McGregor offered a drink to said, ‘I don’t want to drink that s***, I don’t want your drink’ and McGregor wasn’t happy. And sure that was the end of it – then he swung for him.

“As far as I know he hasn’t been in touch with the pub since it all happened. It happened back in April.

“It was stupid and maybe the man should have just passed the drink on to someone else and just thanked him.”
