Comedian Chris Ramsey has been confirmed as the host of the
live shows of Little Mix The Search, and the band couldn’t be more excited to
have him on board.

Chris revealed that while his goal is to be the fifth member
of the band, hosting their talent show is the next best thing.

He admitted: ‘Since the moment I heard their first single, I
knew I wanted to be the fifth member of Little Mix… sadly it looks like I’m
going to have to settle for just hosting their new show with them!’

The brand new show will see Little Mix looking to find the next big band as they audition pre-formed groups as well as solo stars who they will put together as a band.

While all the groups who get through to the live stages will
have access to Little Mix’s ‘inner circle’ of vocal coaches, songwriters and
producers, the winner will get the best prize of all.

The band that ends up winning the show will also get to support the girls on tour and perform to tens of thousands of people.

Little Mix are just as excited to have Chris on board for
the live shows, adding: ‘We’re so happy Chris has come on board to present The
Search.

‘He’s genuinely one of the funniest people we know and he’ll
bring loads of his South Shields charm to the show. We can’t wait.’

Jade Thirlwall previously told Metro.co.uk: ‘I think what’s
really important for us with our show is making it very authentic and not
staged.

‘We’re really going to be there for the contestants, before
and after the show. And I think it’s going to be different vibe, they’re going
to be put in a house and I think there’s going to be elements of all the shows
over the years that have done well, which we’ll take a little piece of and
create our own version of that.

‘Because we don’t want to copy anybody else, we want to create a brand new show that people are going to want to watch because it’s different to what they’re used to.’

Leigh Anne Pinnock added: ‘Also, no gimmicks, just good
talent. We want to find the best.’

Little Mix The Search is coming to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in Spring 2020.
