Coleen Rooney is embroiled in the biggest celebrity scandal in the UK – nay, the world – right now.
But she didn’t seem too concerned as she headed out and about in Manchester today.
The 33-year-old was pictured pushing her sleeping son Cass, one, around in a buggy while social media melted around her.
Coleen was dressed in a cosy yellow knitted jumper and blue jeans, while she hung Cass’s white padded coat off the handle of the Maclaren buggy.
She sure didn’t have the expression of a woman who has singlehandedly launched the biggest talking point on social media.
Yesterday, the mum-of-four – who has been married to Wayne Rooney since 2008 – accused Rebekah Vardy of watching her Instagram stories and leaking fake stories she planted to the press.
Coleen shared a now legendary statement reading: ‘For a few years now someone I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.
‘There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge. After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion.
‘To try and prove this, I came up with an idea. I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account. (Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven’t had stories on there for a while.)
‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.
‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.
‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’
Rebekah, 37, has denied the allegations, and confirmed that she is launching a forensic investigation to prove she was not behind the fake stories.
However, the drama has got even more… well, dramatic, as Danielle Lloyd has entered the feud.
The reality star, who previously dated Teddy Sheringham and was married to Jamie O’Hara, said on Good Morning Britain: ‘I wasn’t as shocked. Because I’ve had run-ins with Rebekah before over similar things, so I wasn’t as shocked.
‘Obviously like everybody else you read it and you think, “Oh my gosh,” but I wasn’t as shocked seeing who it actually allegedly was.’
And Rebekah broke her silence to lash out at the 35-year-old, tweeting: ‘Danielle Lloyd making false claims on @thismorning that we have had ‘similar run-ins’ is utter b*****ks. She is just fuming that I ‘didn’t get Jamie recruiting’ for her like she asked me to…’
It has been claimed that if Becky does prove that she was not behind the leaks, she could even sue Coleen.
