Coleen Rooney 'looked into gender selection treatment in bid to have baby girl'

Coleen Rooney has reportedly looked into ‘gender selection’ in order to have a baby girl after four boys.

The 33-year-old has sons with husband Wayne and The Sun has reported she flew to Mexico to find out more about gender treatment earlier this year.

The procedure is not available in the UK unless it’s to prevent a serious genetic condition.

It would cost £8,000 and would normally see the woman’s eggs collected before being fertilised in a dish using the father’s sperm.

Coleen has allegedly told her friends she wanted to find out more about the process, so visited the lab where the implanting would happen.

A source told The Sun that while “Coleen loves her boys more than anything,” but she has admitted previously “she would also love a daughter.”

While Coleen reportedly would feel a girl “would really complete the set for her and Wayne,” the source added that if she does have a fifth boy “they would be happy.”

Coleen and Wayne are hoping a return to the UK will give them a new beginning

Coleen already returned to England, with their four kids – Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three, and 18-month-old Cass.

Wayne is finishing the season with his Washington DC based team before taking up a player-coach role at Derby County from January onwards.

He will be joining the rest of his family in October and they are all planning to move into their £20million purpose built home in Cheshire, as soon as it is ready for them.
