Coleen Rooney fires back after Rebekah Vardy broke down on Loose Women over row


Rebekah Vardy made a dramatic TV appearance today when she came on Loose Women to share her side of the story over the now-infamous Wagatha Christie row with Coleen Rooney.

It was the first time Jamie Vardy’s wife had spoken out on television about how the monumental fallout, and there were tears aplenty.

Vardy claimed she has been subject to lots of abuse online, with one vile troll wishing death on her unborn baby, after Coleen accused Rebekah’s Instagram account of leaking stories about her to the press.

Coleen’s spokesperson shared a statement with The Sun following Rebekah’s memorable TV appearance.

It read: “Coleen remains confident in the legal process and sees no reason to take the numerous opportunities that have been offered to engage in further public debate in this matter

“She has nothing to add to what she has already said.”

Breaking down in tears on today’s Loose Women, Rebekah said: “It was – sorry – really, really hard. It’s probably up there with one of the worst things I’ve had to deal with, apart from being abused by my step dad when I was younger.”

She said: “It was hideous. It was horrible. I don’t think I was prepared for what was to come.”

The new mum added: “I had severe anxiety attacks. I ended up in hospital three times. I had kidney stones.

“I felt I couldn’t go out without people questioning, ‘Did she do it? Did she not do it?'”

Rebekah and Coleen are currently dealing with the situation via their lawyers, meaning the WAG was unable to talk too much about the actual incident today.

Rebekah did say however that she’s feeling positive about the future, after welcoming fifth child, Olivia.

She remarked: “It’s a new year, 2020, time to focus on some exciting things that are happening – a new baby, and baby’s need healthy mums.”
