Cody Simpson’s mum claims son and girlfriend Miley Cyrus are ‘playing it up’ for the cameras because they love the media attention

Cody Simpson’s mum revealed her son and new girlfriend Miley are simply ‘playing it up’ for the camera and are loving the media attention.

The 22-year-old’s mum Angie spoke on radio show Kyle and Jackie to say that her son is loving the response from fans and the media.

Referring to the risqué photo of Miley, 26, putting her hands down Cody’s pants, Angie said: ‘I even re-posted it as I think it’s so funny.

‘I think that they’re doing it for a bit of fun and looking for exactly what the media is saying.

‘They’re like two peas in a pod. We were just on FaceTime with them this morning. They’re in Nashville having a bit of a holiday and I just think they like to play it up.’

Well, well, well, Miley and Cody, it’s definitely worked because we are invested.

The two are head over heels for each other and have been dating a little over a month now, getting together after Miley broke up with Kaitlynn Carter.

Miley split from husband of eight months Liam Hemsworth back in August and has been on a whirlwind of romances.

Fair enough, Miley.

‘I just told him, “Enjoy the ride and take it slow. Like any relationship, test the time and see what happens,”’ Angie told the radio show hosts.

The couple are doing everything but taking it slow but they’re having a blast so why wait?

Cody admitted he was weirded out when his mum re-posted the photo of Miley’s hands down his pants.

Angie had re-posted the image to her Instagram story and called the pair ‘cheeky buggers’.

Don’t you love it when your mum re-posts a picture of you and your girlfriend being all sexual?

Cody told The Project: ‘My mum re-posted that, which is really weird! I was like, “Mum, you’re re-posting a photo of my girlfriend with her hand in my pants!”
