Cody Simpson proves he’s well and truly smitten as he marks six-month anniversary with Miley Cyrus

Cody Simpson marks six-month anniversary with Miley Cyrus

Cody Simpson is pretty smitten with girlfriend Miley Cyrus and he wants everyone to know it.

The Australian singer, 23, first began dating Miley last year, following her marriage split from Liam Hemsworth and after she broke up with ex-girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter.

Six months have now flown by and Cody was seen marking the occasion on Instagram.

He shared a black and white photo of girlfriend Miley to his to Instagram story of the Wrecking Ball singer chilling out in her tracksuit bottoms with her hair piled onto her head and spot cream all over her face.

Cody wrote: ‘6 months with you is worth a lifetime with anybody else. I love you.’

Sounds cute, but is anyone else a little confused by his caption?

Miley, meanwhile, chose not to celebrate their mini milestone on her own social media and has instead been busy with her own Bright Minded series that has seen her joined by celebrity guests, including the likes of Demi Lovato and Reese Witherspoon.

The series has kept her busy while in quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic, with Miley admitting she is missing ‘human connection’ while we’re all having to practice social distancing.

Miley, 27, told Zane Lowe on Apple Music: ‘We get so numb to people opening the door for us and saying, “Good morning. How are you?”

‘What would we give right now for it to be safe to open the door for somebody, but right now when we open the door, we think, “Oh, where’s my glove, let me get my hoodie. I’m not allowed to look at you. Get six feet away from me.”

‘And so I miss that human connection. I miss opening the door for someone and having the door open for me.’

Miley was due to headline a bushfire benefit concert in Australia last month and was ‘gutted’ when she was forced to cancel due to travel restrictions imposed because of the pandemic.

She told fans at the time: ‘I am so disappointed to not be there, but I have to do what is right to protect the health and safety of my band and crew.

‘I will still be making a donation to help the victims of the Australian bush fire. I’m sorry to miss everyone in Australia, but I will be back soon.’
