Clyde 1 DJ George Bowie 'almost dies' after choking on a lamb cutlet



Radio DJ George Bowie’s wife saved his life last night, after he choked on a piece of lamb .

The Clyde 1 host shocked fans this morning by telling them about terrifying ordeal.

 

After telling colleagues and listeners what happened, he joked today’s headlines were almost ‘Shoutout to my GB ex’, and ‘Bowie’s family in Bits And Pieces’ after he choked on a lamb cutlet.

George’s 51-year-old wife walked in during the escapade and performed the Heimlich Maneuver.

George told his listeners: “So last night I choked on a lamb cutlet!

“Not even joking, my wife walked into the house with two bags of shopping just as I was about to pass out and she did the Heimlich Maneuver and then went and put the shopping away as if nothing happened.

“So now my sick workmates are asking what the headline would have been in the paper.

After the near death experience, George wanted to warn fans about the dangers of choking.

He added: “All joking aside though everyone should take two minutes out to learn the Heimlick Maneuver because if my wife didn’t know how to do this I wouldn’t be here to type this.”
