Clueless star Stacey Dash was allegedly arrested for domestic battery over the weekend following a reported altercation with her husband, Jefrrey Marty.
The 52-year-old actress was reportedly taken into police custody in Pasco County, where she is believed to own a home, after an alleged argument with Marty, whom she married in April 2018.
According to TMZ, police were called to a property at around 7:45pm on Sunday in response to a call about a domestic dispute between the couple.
Sources claim a physical altercation ensued between Dash and Marty, shortly before police officers arrived at the house. Marty is alleged to have had scratches on his arm.
Dash was reportedly arrested and is said to be currently in jail on $500 (£400) bail. The publication claims the actress is expected to remain in jail for 24 hours in a cooling-off period.
The Hollywood star, an outspoken supporter of the Republican Party, secretly married Marty on 6 April in Florida after just 10 days of dating.
Marty is a lawyer and father of three children.
Dash herself is a mother-of-two, to daughter Lola and a son, Austin, from her previous relationships with ex-husband Brian Lovell and former partner Christopher Williams respectively.
The actress rose to fame playing Dionne in the 1994 movie Clueless alongside Alicia Silverstone, and she also made an appearance in Kanye West’s music video All Falls Down.
Dash, who is cousin of hip hop icon Damon Dash, tried to establish a political career as a Republican for California’s 44th district, but withdrew from the congressional race.
