“It will be a long running conflict that will cost Russian lives and it will be a cost in terms of sanctions that will cripple the Russian economy.
“Of course the Russians don’t like me giving that message to the Russian people. They don’t like hearing the message.
“But, they need to hear the message because it would be a catastrophic mistake for Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine,” she insisted.
