Ciara is proud to make a cameo in Taylor Swift’s new music video, and even an anti-gay troll won’t dampen her mood.

The 33-year-old makes a surprise appearance in the visuals for Taylor’s new single, You Need To Calm Down, along with the rest of Hollywood including Ryan Reynolds and Katy Perry.

Fans are loving Ciara’s cameo, which sees the Body Party singer officiate the wedding between Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita.

Although most fans have been positive about CiCi’s appearance in Taylor’s pro-LGBTQ music video, one Instagram user in particular left nasty comments on the singer’s profile.

Remarks included: ‘You shouldn’t be doing this,’ and ‘this is wrong’.

Well, You Need To Calm Down is basically the sentiment which Ciara channelled in her brilliantly sharp response to the troll.

The R&B singer replied: ‘Firstly, Christians don’t judge. Secondly, #YouNeedToCalmDown.’

Couldn’t have said it better.

Taylor, 29, has used the music video to express her support of GLAAD and the Equality Act by releasing it during Pride month.

The singer-songwriter even made a surprise appearance at the Stonewall Inn, the historic LGBT landmark in New York City to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

The We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together hitmaker expressed her support of the Equality Act, which is currently going the Senate and, if passed, would amend the Civil Rights Act to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity across various sectors, such as employment, housing and education.

Taylor’s latest music video has garnered attention for another reason with Katy Perry making an appearance, confirming the end of their long-running feud.

Meanwhile, Ciara has just released new music of her own with seventh studio album Beauty Marks dropping back in May. The record was led by the single Thinkin Bout You.
