A MUM has been blasted on social media for already putting up her Christmas decorations.
The woman proudly showed off a DIY festive-themed fireplace to Facebook – but people were left baffled as to why she had got it up in September with three months still to go.

It all began when the mum, from Australia, posted online a picture of the makeshift addition to her living room.
The Christmas-inspired fireplace was made from cardboard boxes featuring red and white-painted bricks with cotton wool to replicate snow, stockings, a tiny snowman, Santa sacks and a green present.
She captioned the snap: “My fiance finished our fake fireplace this afternoon that he has been working on over the last couple of days.
“We now just need to make a fake fire for the centre. We absolutely love it, especially our six-year-old.

“It’s never too early to start decorating right?
The image was then re-shared in the Kmart Unhacks and Roasts Facebook page – and was met with great amusement.
One person wrote: “Here it is folks! The first #xmas post for 2019.
“Pretty sure this is a record for September or it’s a bulls*** post to end up here.”
Another commented: “If it’s not December 1, then it’s too early for anything Christmassy [sic].
Forget 12 days of Christmas, it’s the 12 weeks of Christmas.

A third shared: “God I hate Christmas stuff with fake snow. It is summer and it’s bloody tacky.”
And a fourth jokingly added: “Forget 12 days of Christmas, it’s the 12 weeks of Christmas.”
The post quickly racked up more than 290 comments, with the consensus that September was far too early to start decorating.
