CHRISTIE Brinkley was overcome with emotion as she watched her daughter Sailor transformed into a Disney princess on Monday’s Dancing With The Stars.
The 65-year-old model wiped away tears as her 21-year-old daughter dazzled in a pale blue gown alongside her dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
Christie was supporting her youngest daughter, who stepped in at the last minute to replace her model mum when she broke her arm during rehearsals.
Sailor – whose father is Christie’s third husband Peter Cook – had just three days to practice before the first live show and likened her own journey on the ABC show with a Cinderella story.
She danced a Viennese Waltz which saw her mum – who was also previously married to Billy Joel – welling up from the sidelines.
Sailor likened her own growth in confidence thanks to her surprise appearance on the 28th season of the show.
The 21-year-old received 24 points and some fans online were not impressed with the judges as they felt that she should have received a lot higher than the 19 points allocated to former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.
One wrote: “Sailor Brinkley-Cook had non-stop fluid steps. Sean barely moves. Shouldn’t they give higher scores to harder dances??”
Another commented on how “gorgeous” Sailor looked.
“That was magical,” said another fan on Twitter.
