Chris Pratt gave a ‘sweet toast’ at fiancée Katherine Schwarzenegger’s bridal shower

Chris Pratt broke with tradition to give a “sweet” toast at fiancée Katherine Schwarzenegger’s bridal shower, according to reports.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star reportedly arrived towards the end of the pre-wedding celebrations, which were held at the home of her mother Maria Shriver over the weekend.

The couple were also joined by Schwarzenegger’s famous father Arnold, and the likes of Oprah Winfrey and The Hills star Whitney Port who were photographed arriving at Shriver’s Los Angeles residence.

The former talk show host was snapped carrying a bouquet of pink and lilac flowers wrapped up in hessian for the bride-to-be.

A source told People magazine that Schwarzenegger was “glowing” with happiness during the festivities, and “lit up” when her fiancé joined the gathering.

“Katherine was glowing the whole afternoon and having the best time celebrating with her friends and family,” the insider revealed.

“Maria definitely went all-out for the shower but it still felt very down to earth and intimate inside. There were fun games and a flower station where guests could make arrangements, and a gospel choir sang several songs.

“Katherine lit up when Chris arrived. He also gave a sweet toast. They were adorable together and he wanted her to have all the attention.”

Pratt and Schwarzenegger confirmed their engagement back in January, one month after going public with their romance.

The Jurassic World star shared the news with his Instagram followers by posting a sweet photo of the couple embracing, in which Schwarzenegger’s engagement ring could clearly be seen.

“Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!” he captioned the picture. “I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!”

The author and lifestyle blogger re-posted the same image shortly after, writing: “My sweet love, wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you.”

Pratt split from actress Anna Faris in 2017, after eight years of marriage.

The former couple, who met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight in 2007, released a statement explaining that they had “tried hard for a long time,” and assured fans that they “still have love for each other” and “ have the deepest respect for one another.”
