Chris Hemsworth‘s trainer has revealed what it’s really like working with the Marvel Universe star.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday, Da Rulk (real name Joey Sakoda) said the Hollywood heavyweight is ‘like a brother to him’.

Da Rulk added that Chris, 36, works hard everyday to stay in shape and is nothing but ‘focused’ and ‘purpose-driven’ when it comes to fitness.

‘He’s very focused, he’s purpose-driven,’ Da Rulk said. 

‘That’s the beauty of Chris. If he has a reason for doing it, he’s all about it and because of that, he gets things done.’

Da Rulk said that Chris ‘takes things seriously’ but also is a ‘joy’ to work with.

Da Rulk appears on the popular training app, Centr, alongside Chris’ longtime friend and personal trainer Luke Zocchi.

He added that he tries to teach people with his training that the mental benefits of working out are just as important as the physical benefits.

‘I really focus on getting people mentally trained to,’ Da Rulk said.

Da Rulk works with first responders and believes that sensory processing and training is important so these people can be the best they can be.

‘When they go into a fire, there are so many things these guys have to deal with, including visual processing,’ he said. 

He has partnered up with Turtle Beach, which creates high-performance headsets, to share how the senses can impact performance in real life and for gaming.
