After a Comic-Con like no other, Chris Hemsworth has returned from the US back to his home soil with wife Elsa Pataky and their three children.

Taking in the sights of Byron Bay, where the family is based, the Avengers actor looked blissfully at peace and chilled to the max as they headed out on Tuesday.

Dressed down in a pair of jeans, a black t-shirt and green beanie, Chris donned a pair of aviator sunglasses for the wintry outing.

He sat on a park bench with Elsa, who was wearing a pair of dungarees over a long-sleeved t-shirt, their three children – daughter India Rose, seven, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, five – running around.

At one stage India was seen sitting in her mum’s lap as one of the boys ran around in football boots, hinting the family was fresh from footy training.

Can we please note how even in the depths of winter in Australia, Byron Bay still looks sunnier than London does today?

Moving on.

Parched and in need of some snacks, the family hotfooted it to a nearby café before setting up shop in the park.

Elsa toted a juice fresh from the blender, after Chris was instead swarmed by fans in the local café.

Here’s hoping he didn’t want a snack.

As Chris toted India, he was interrupted by a couple of fans eager for a photo with Thor.

More than obliging he handed the kidlet to his wife and posed with two women. What a legend.

The pair recently returned from a massive trip around the world, which started with Chris promoting his latest flick Men In Black: International.

Before heading home, they also celebrated Elsa’s birthday in Spain, took a brilliant family selfie at the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood premiere, headed to San Diego Comic-Con where the fourth Thor film, Love And Thunder was announced, and he also jetted to Sydney to announce the aforementioned Marvel film will be shot down under.

Speaking at a fancy press conference in Sydney last Friday, a suited and booted Chris made the brilliant revelation.

Chris told reporters in the wake of the announcement this week: ‘It’s an interesting feeling after Endgame [the most recently Avengers film] because it was like where do you go from there.

‘But it’s about making great films and to still be a part of the Marvel/Disney family and to be able to make another film is pretty fantastic.’

The Australian Government has put forth a multimillion dollar grant towards the project, which is bound to bring a nice boost to the local economy.

With the official duties dont for now, no wonder the actor is keen to head back to his sprawling beach-side mansion and take a load off – he’s earned it.
