WARNING: This story includes spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.

Chris Hemsworth is not ruling out further Thor movies after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

At the end of the hotly-anticipated 22nd Marvel film, Thor returned to space with the Guardians Of The Galaxy but it’s not yet clear whether he will appear in the upcoming third film with Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper.

Marvel have nine theatrical dates set in the calendar across the next two years but they have not confirmed which titles will sit in which dates, and although Thor could take one of the nine, it seems unlikely at the moment.

It’s something Chris acknowledges, telling Variety‘s and iHeartMedia’s new film podcast The Big Ticket that ‘there will come a day’ soon when he does hang up the hammer.

‘Whether it’s now or in the future, I don’t know. … Who knows what the sort of future holds,’ he said.

‘I don’t know, there could be remakes, sequels, prequel — who knows?’

But one thing he will continue is his grueling Thor workout.

‘If I don’t work out, that’s when things start to hurt and I start to feel like, god, my body’s deteriorating,’ the Australian star said.

‘The movement for me and the constant sort of training and so on is, that’s where my energy comes from. And that’s where that movement creates more motivation and more sort of activity.

‘And I’ve been, I wouldn’t say forced, but hired and paid to stay fit. So what a luxury that has been and the education that has given me has been incredible.

‘But I’d like to think even outside of playing this character, I enjoy staying busy and having an athletic sort of attitude.’

The 35-year-old actor has played Thor in seven movies, beginning with 2011’s Thor.

He had had three standalone films and appeared in all four Avengers films

Avengers: Endgame is out in UK cinemas now.
