‘She was sleeping in one of our helmets in the garage, cheeky girl!’ Elsa captioned one clip.

In the videos, the snake – believed to be a carpet python – was put into an empty black bin before being released into the wild.

Elsa shared a snap of Chris, their children and pet dog Sunny walking towards a garden, with Thor star Chris holding the bin.

It’s not the first time the family have found a snake on their property.

In September, Elsa shared a snap of her twin sons, Tristan and Sasha, five, playing with a baby python that came to visit.

‘Boys found a little baby python today. Hopefully when it grows up we’ll still be friends,’ she captioned an Instagram snap at the time.

Chris and Elsa moved to Byron from Hollywood, back in 2014.

She told Vogue Australia this week about her perfect life in Australia, saying Hollywood was ‘consuming’.

‘I feel Hollywood consumes you in such a way that it feels like work all the time. I think when you’re in it you don’t even realise but when you get out, it changes everything.’

Elsa said that she had always dreamed of raising her children in nature, and admits that she had to compromise her passion for acting to fulfill her dream.

‘But I changed my life to be a mum, which I think is just the most amazing thing in the world… I wanted to pick my kids up, I wanted to take them to school, I wanted to be part of the school and be involved in what they do,’ she said.
