Chris Evans, 53, voiced his rage on Wednesday morning after he revealed he had been shouted at by numerous people for being “too close” to them while out in public. The UK was locked down do the deadly coronavirus on Monday, where Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated people are only allowed out to undertake exercise, for food shopping, medical or care needs and to go to and from work where “absolutely necessary”.
While people are taking advantage of the sunny weather and heading to the park to exercise, Chris revealed some are turning social distancing into an opportunity to abuse others.
Speaking to his co-star Vassos Alexander, the former BBC Radio Two host shared his own experiences.
“How about stop it with the pavement rage,” he snapped.
“People are going out to shout at people for being too close to them, it’s insane. It happened to me a couple of days ago.”

Chris said he briefly touched on the issue during Tuesday’s show but didn’t want to “give it more oxygen that it deserves”.
“But it happened to me twice again yesterday, and this cyclist pulled up near me and said ‘Can I ask you a question?’
“I said ‘What?’ and he replied ‘Are people shouting at you for being too close to them?'”
Chris was out in Windsor park at the time and was left shocked that it was happening to others.
After detailing how much abuse he had received, the cyclist said it had just happened to him and that it had really “upset him” as it was “the last thing I wanted to do”.
The government has issued a strict two-metre rule between people unless you live with them, so as to halt the spread of the virus.
But as the death toll continues to rise daily and the hysteria surrounding the pandemic heightens, it can lead to panic stricken people lashing out at others.
After he finished his rant, he took a breath and moved on to a more positive part of the lockdown, applauding people who are taking note of the social distancing rule.
“People are adhering to social distancing when taking their allotted time to exercise in this beautiful sunshine – that is ever more beautiful as there is less pollution around, we can sense it and we can feel it more.
