The record, available for pre-order from today features tracks from CarFest’s resident ‘Supergroup’ which over the years has included a roster of top artists including Roger Daltrey, The Feeling, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ricky Wilson, KT Tunstall, Sharlene Spiteri, Gary Kemp and funny man Rob Brydon.

Richard Jones, of The Feeling who formed the Supergroup put the album together.

Chris Evans said: “This finished double album is testament to not only the artists and performers, but to all our visitors and supporters, who can certainly be heard on the album. I know they’re going to love it… and until we meet in 2021 for our 10th birthday, I hope this will keep their memories fresh!”

Profits from the album, also available on CD will go to CarFest’s Charity partners BBC Children in Need, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Rainbow Trust, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.

The radio DJ has also announced that next year’s Camp CarFest North and South, and all new edition Retro CarFest will be Covid complaint versions for his popular car show for next summer. 

Camp CarFest, will also feature music, celebrity chefs and family fun across three separate weekends.

Tickets also go on sale today November 5.

The festival was the brainchild of Chris Evans in 2012 to raise money for children’s charities. To date it has raised £16 million for BBC Children in Need.

Camp CarFest North takes place from 23rd – 25th July at the Bolesworth Estate in Cheshire whilst Camp CarFest South takes place from 27th – 29th August at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire.

A new event Retro CarFest is also being held in Bicester, Oxfordshire on 18th-20th June celebrating cars, film, gaming, toys and music of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
