Children In Need 2019 celebs raise whopping £47.9million for charity

Children In Need 2019 has raised an incredible £47.9million, after last night’s dazzling and star-studded TV appeal.

Celebs from Strictly Come Dancing , Doctor Who , Star Wars , EastEnders and more came together to raise money for charity.

Running for five hours on the BBC, some of the UK’s biggest names played a part in creating comedy sketches and presenting fundraising events.

Familiar faces like Graham Norton, Tess Daly, and Marvin and Rochelle Humes hosted the spectacular telethon.

Rylan-Clark Neal raised an incredible £1million by himself for the cause, thanks to his 24-hour karaoke sing-a-long.

EastEnders stars crossed paths with Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood on the show

Leaving Albert Square behind for the day, the EastEnders cast donned their dancing shoes and took part in a Strictly special.

Ricky Champ (the Stuart Highway actor), Louisa Lytton (Ruby Allen), Maisie Smith (Tiffany Butcher) and Rudolph Walker (Patrick Trueman) managed to impress the Strictly judges on the dance floor.

In a heartwarming video, footie legends Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling paid a special visit to the England Amputee Football Association.

EastEnders stars tried their hand at dancing on last night’s show

Three school kids got the chance to sit on Graham Norton’s famous red sofa, before tipping celebs out of the “big red chair”.

Hit TV shows like Mock The Week, Crackerjack and Dragon’s Den brought out special episodes in aid of the worthy cause.

There was music galore on the night, with one-off performances from Sugababes star Heidi Range, Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle, Liberty X star Michelle Heaton and Blue singer Antony Costa.

The Strictly Come Dancing judging panel came out in full force last night

Unfortunately, the amount raised was slightly lower than last year’s appeal – in 2018, Children In Need racked up a whopping £50.6million.

Luckily, it’s never too late to donate, as the UK’s biggest and brightest names proved on last night’s show.
