Despite the Love Made Me Do It songstress dominating the charts for over a decade on home soil she has never managed to make it in America.
Even her stint on The X Factor USA ended in disaster after she was unceremoniously sacked from her role on the judging panel just days into the job.
Now TV host Wendy Williams has made an awkward live TV error after mistaking Chezza for an actress.
Speaking on her hit daytime series, The Wendy Williams Show, the 54-year-old discussed the blossoming romance of Liam Payne and Naomi Campbell.

Recalling Naomi being asked about the One Direction hunk earlier this month on The Jonathan Ross show in the UK, Wendy said: “To me that was the look of love.
“That was the look of ‘yes we have something going on’.
“I feel like she is not using this guy and I don’t feel like he is using her because he is young.”

Delving into Liam’s past, Wendy continued: “At 25 he has a child with a 35 years old woman… the actress Cheryl Cole.”
Aware of the error, a show running quickly shouted “singer” before the host corrected herself: “… the singer Cheryl Cole.”
She added: “By the way he [Liam] has a history of dating older women… it wasn’t just Cheryl Cole.”
Supporting his new relationship, the normally razor-sharp star said: “Regarding Naomi, she was girl running around Jamaica then next thing she knows she is singed and her entire life is in front of us looking gorgeous.

“There comes a time in everyones life when you kind of want to settle down.
“Naomi probably really thinks this could work.
“I feel like she is out here looking at people settled down thing – Good luck Naomi.”
Despite Daily Star Online first revealing the pair were dating in January after they were spotted on a date night at London’s O2 Arena, Liam is yet to comment at all about the romance.
