Cheryl has laid low musically since releasing her track Love Made Me Do It at the end of last year.

But it looks as though the star is working on some new beats, as she hinted at a potential release on Instagram.

Taking to the social media platform, the 35-year-old shared a picture of herself leaning against a street lamp in New York City.

In the caption, the popstar said: ‘Let You…….’ followed by two googly eye emojis – and well, that was enough for everyone to think new music was on its way.

Writing in the comments section, the singer’s fans applauded the star for her snap, and revealed their excitement for any upcoming tracks.

One wrote: ‘OMG!!!!!!!! I’m so excited,’ while another added: ‘LET YOU FOR NUMBER ONE.’

Others joked about how they were so not ready for whatever the superstar had up her sleeve.

The mother-of-one has previously spoken about her new music, and recently revealed that fans could expect to hear more from her around the month of March.

Well, we’re way past there Chezza, but after her post on the gram, we can’t help but feel a single is on its way.

When chatting on The One Show earlier this year, the Fight For This Love songstress confessed: ‘I am releasing a new song in March-ish.

‘I never like to give a specific because things move…it’s happening. It is a bit more uptempo.’

Since then, she backtracked on her words by posting another picture onto Insta.

In the comments, she spoke to fans in the know and joked: ‘When she says March-ish but might have meant May .. ? (if you know you know).’

The star wrapped up filming for the dancing competition The Greatest Dancer earlier this year, so it seems she can now put her time and energy into a new album.

However, the show has since been renewed for a second series, which means there’ll hopefully be more Cheryl on our screens in 2020.
