After Ellie Ferguson from Liverpool won The Greastest Dancer last year with mentor Oti Mabuse, the BBC series return this evening. The judges were wowed by several contestants but it was eight-year-old Joseph and 10-year-old Lily who had judge Cheryl in tears.
The pair performed an emotional contemporary routine to Andra Day’s Rise Up, which thrilled the audience.
Lily and Joseph hoped to show off their friendship with their audition, which included plenty of daring lifts.
As the mirrors opened, meaning the audience thought their routine was good enough to progress to the next round, Cheryl stood to cheer the duo on.
The mother-of-one could be seen wiping her eyes as she broke down in tears over the performance.

After they left the stage, Todrick joked to Cheryl: “You do have a heart after all.”
“Somewhere in there,” she laughed in reply as Matthew warned: “Oh, this one is a cryer.”
Cheryl went on to note she thought she could pick the duo if she was the judge who got to choose the “Greatest Dancer of the Day”, a new feature on the show.
At each day of the auditions, one judge is randomly picked to choose who they want on their team in the live show.
And it seems some of the decisions caused disruption to the show as Oti Mabuse broke down trying to choose her “Greatest Dancer of the Day”.
Todrick revealed: “She was acting like Mufasa [from the Lion King] just died twice!
“She was going through it, we didn’t… we had to stop production for a while to get her off the ground.
“I mean, it was very like Jack had just drifted to the ocean and Rose let go.”
The Greatest Dancer continues Saturday on BBC One at 7pm.
