Chelsea vs West Ham LIVE: Stream, score, goals and latest updates from Premier League clash

Chelsea will attempt to go third in the Premier League table this evening as they host London rivals West Ham.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is in line to make consecutive Premier League starts for the first time while Gonzalo Higuain, Willian and Ross Barkley may return after being rested on Wednesday.

Felipe Anderson is set to return for West Ham, who are looking to maintain pace with Leicester, Wolves, Everton and Watford in the Premier League table.

The Hammers are attempting to go four Premier League matches without defeat in this fixture for the first time in 19 years.

Follow all of the live action below.

MATCH ACTION

18 minutes: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz collide heads going for the same ball, and it has left the Brazilian in a bit of a heap on the ground.

The medical staff are on, but it’s looking like Luiz will be fine.

MATCH ACTION

16 minutes: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Good opportunity this for N’Golo Kante, who created the opening completely by himself!

With his back to goal, he beats Ogbonna with a delicious turn, but his left-foot shot from the edge of the box is just over – Fabianski had it covered anyhow.

Did the hard bit – should’ve hit the target.

MATCH ACTION

12 minutes: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Bit of a waste that.

Emerson tries to bend it over the wall with his left-foot, but it’s off-target by some distance.

Surely there were better candidates to take that free-kick?!

YELLOW CARD

11 minutes: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

First moment of drama in the game!

Higuain lays off Hazard perfectly in behind Angelo Ogbonna, who cynically hauls Hazard down who was through on goal.

There were covering defenders, so yellow card is the right decision. Good opportunity from the free-kick here…

MATCH ACTION

9 minutes: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Eden Hazard have been trying to kickstart Chelsea attacks by showing for the ball, but it’s not quite coming off so far for the Blues.

West Ham holding their shape well, and look bright on the break.

MATCH ACTION

5 minutes: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Aaron Cresswell surges down the left but Callum Hudson-Odoi tracks him all the way and does well by his own corner flag, and wins a goal-kick for the home side.

MATCH ACTION

3 minutes: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Balbuena has just given the ball away cheaply for West Ham in his first appearance since December.

West Ham with the majority of possession so far though.

KICK OFF

KICK-OFF: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

We’re underway! Can Chelsea re-enter the coveted top four positions in the Premier League?

The players are out on the pitch, and we’re all set to go here in west London!

This is the last game in the Premier League’s ‘No Room for Racism’ campaign, though the discussion will obviously continue as it should, with incidents of racism in football continuing to show themselves both in the UK and in Europe.

We’re just five minutes from kick-off at Stamford Bridge!

Ominous signs for West Ham supporters tonight…

Indeed, West Ham’s twitter account are keen to remember Fabianski’s performance in September, highlighting this wonderful save from a certain Alvaro Morata.

Remember him?

This man was a colossus the last time these two met…

In September, West Ham and Chelsea played out a goalless draw at the London Stadium. Both teams squandered great chances, but Hammers goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski pulled off some brilliant stops to keep a clean sheet.

Here are the Chelsea squad arriving earlier.

Interesting scenario tonight for Blues boss Maurizio Sarri: a Monday night fixture followed by a Europa League quarter-final first-leg in Prague on Thursday. Is he resting Willian, Pedro and Giroud for that trip, or is his focus completely on three points tonight which would send his team to third in the table on 66 points?

Maybe it hasn’t been such a bad season after all…

TEAM NEWS

Meanwhile, Manuel Pellegrini makes five changes from the team which lost 2-0 to Everton. Mark Noble comes back in to captain the side, and also returning are Ryan Fredericks, Fabian Balbuena, Felipe Anderson and Javier Hernandez. Out go Issa Diop, Pablo Zabaleta, Robert Snodgrass, Pedro Obiang and Lucas Perez.

Here’s the West Ham squad in full:

TEAM NEWS

The big news for Chelsea fans is that Callum Hudson-Odoi KEEPS his place in the starting XI after impressing in the 3-0 win against Brighton last Wednesday. Ruben Loftus-Cheek also keeps his place. The Blues make two changes from that game against Brighton: Antonio Rudiger comes in for Andreas Christensen while Gonzalo Higuain replaces Olivier Giroud up front.

Here’s the Chelsea squad in full:

Chelsea have the opportunity to rise two places in the table to third with a win this evening, against a West Ham side who were dreadful in their last outing – a 2-0 defeat at home to Everton nine days ago.
