Frank Lampard has given his pre-game interview to BT Sport, he talked about the game, Olivier Giroud and the depth of his squad saying:
“It’s a big moment for us. We understand that the battle is for fourth place. Tottenham are just behind us but they’re a big rival anyway, this game always has a lot on it so the players need to show something. Our home form hasn’t been what we want it to be, we’ve been very honest about that and it’s a good time to change that. It’s a big opportunity.
“I kept saying in through January when the window shut, his [Olivier Giroud’s] professionalism was brilliant. He had a difficult month and needed some weeks to get fit which is why at Manchester United he wasn’t ready. Today he is, Tammy’s [Abraham] not really fit so Oli gets the nod.
“Ross [Barkley] has trained really well, we’ve got big injuries in those forward areas, three of our wingers are injured. Pedro is out after Manchester United as well. You can’t be too despondent with injuries, we’re Chelsea, we have a squad for a reason players have to come in a do their jobs.”
