Thomas Tuchel has a busy summer in store as he looks to turn his Chelsea team into title contenders after an impressive start under his leadership.

Securing a top four place was paramount to his hopes of luring any high-profile transfer targets, and a win in Saturday’s Champions League final would go some way to convincing them Chelsea are back at the top of elite football.

A move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane is still under consideration, while Erling Haaland’s future looks like it will be decided next year.

But there could still be other arrivals at Stamford Bridge in the coming months as Tuchel eyes some new recruits.

Hazard eyes return

Blues legend Eden Hazard is reportedly ready to cut short his time in the Spanish capital and seek a return to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian left to join Real Madrid in 2019 for a fee in the region of £100million but has failed to hit the same heights as he did in the Premier League.

Madrid are now thought to be open to offloading the 30-year-old this summer, particularly after Hazard was seen laughing and joking with his former Chelsea colleagues following his side’s Champions League semi-final defeat to his old club.

According to El Chiringuito de Jugones (via Metro ), Hazard is keen to head back to West London if Chelsea enter the bidding.

Chelsea have reportedly made enquiries regarding Benfica midfielder Julian Weigl, reports O Jogo .

The 25-year-old German is on the Blues’ shortlist of targets to help bolster their options in the centre of the park.

West Ham’s Declan Rice is thought to be the No.1. target but Chelsea could turn to Weigl if a deal for the England star cannot be made.

At least three clubs are in the running for Barcelona ace Miralem Pjanic after the Bosnian endured a difficult first campaign at the Nou Camp this season.

Barca effectively swapped talented Brazilian Arthur for the 31-year-old but he has struggled to make an impact under Ronald Koeman.

Pjanic fueled the rumours he could be set to move on this summer after a post on Instagram in which he said: “This season leaves me with a bitter taste & questions that still need answers.”

Mundo Deportivo now report that Chelsea are in direct competition with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich for his signature.
