Chelsea transfer news LIVE: Zaha January swap deal, Werner enquiry, Barcelona plan

Conte wants Chelsea reunion

Antonio Conte is keen on Chelsea duo Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso as he looks to land a new left-back.

The former Blues boss is now at Inter Milan, where Kwadwo Asamoah has struggled with injuries.

And The Sun say that Conte is keen on bringing either Palmieri or Alonso to Italy.

They claim Emerson is happy in London while Alonso could be an option on loan for around £2million with the option of a permanent £18m move in the summer.

Wilfried Zaha swap deal

Chelsea could sign Wilfried Zaha in a January swap deal.

The Telegraph say Crystal Palace are open to receiving Olivier Giroud or Michy Batshuayi in a player-plus-cash deal in the new year.

Palace value Zaha at £80m, however, Chelsea could use Giroud or Batshuayi to lower the cost of the deal.

Chelsea are desperate to sign forwards to bolster their attack in the January transfer window.

Philippe Coutinho update

Barcelona are still hoping to sell Philippe Coutinho at the end of the season to help fund a move for Neymar, and Chelsea could be leading the way for his signature. Coutinho’s spell at the Nou Camp looked over the moment a loan deal was agreed to send him to Bayern Munich the past summer.

There have been some suggestions Bayern aren’t considering stumping up the £100million option when his load deal expires at the end of the season.

However, Coutinho could be set for a remarkable return to the Premier League where he made a name for himself.

According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, a number of English top flight sides remain interested in the Brazilian playmaker.

And it is suggested that Chelsea could look at reviving their interest ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham.

The Blues were heavily linked with a move for Coutinho during the summer before he joined Bayern, but a transfer ban prevented them from chasing a potential deal.

Timo Werner plan

Chelsea have enquired about a January deal for RB Leipzig star Timo Werner.

The Telegraph claim the Blues have asked about the German’s release clause ahead of the January transfer window.

Reports have claimed the release clause is between £25.5m and £51.2m.

Chelsea have enquired to get a definitive answer as the Blues aim to bolster their front line.
