Three signings…

Chelsea fans have been left angry after the Blues’ official Twitter account teased a new signing – only to reveal the club have secured Three to be their shirt sponsor from next season.

The Stamford Bridge faithful are eagerly anticipating news of transfer activity with Frank Lampard free to add to his squad after their ban was overturned following an appeal.

But the new ‘signing’ Chelsea have made isn’t the type they’ve been hoping for, with the mobile network simply paying to have their brand emblazoned on the their shirts from the start of the 2020/21 campaign.

Supporters let out their fury on Twitter, responding to the club’s tweet with a series of messages revealing how they felt mugged off.

Blimey…

Manchester United have two short-term strikers in their sights, but they are probably not who fans would have expected.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for forward reinforcements in the absence of injured Marcus Rashford.

And Sky Sports claim Ed Woodward and co. are tracking Shanghai Shenhua’s Odion Ighalo and Monaco loanee Islam Slimani for possible loan deals.

Ighalo, formerly of Watford, has scored 10 goals in 19 appearances for the Chinese Super League club and bagged 40 during his spell at Watford.

Slimani, meanwhile, has enjoyed a profitable loan spell with Monaco with seven goals and seven assists in 13 appearances.

Wanted: Allan Arigoni

Chelsea are interested in signing Switzerland star Allan Arigoni.

That’s according to newspaper Blick, who claim Barcelona are also showing interest in the 21-year-old defender.

The Blues are searching for a right-back to replace Marcos Alonso at Stamford Bridge and believe Arigoni represents a cheaper alternative to Ben Chilwell.

Arigoni, who is said to be as quick as Bundesliga’s fastest player Achraf Hakimi, has made 19 appearances for Grasshopper’s this season and provided five assists.

Blick add that Barcelona legend Jose Mari Bakero recently travelled to Switzerland to watch Arigoni in person.

Raul Jimenez transfer backed

Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United should try to sign £50m-rated Wolves striker Raul Jimenez.

That’s the opinion of Chelsea legend Joe Cole, who believes the Mexico international is more than capable of performing at the very highest level.

“Wolves fans won’t thank me for saying this but if I’m Chelsea, Tottenham or Manchester United, with a chequebook ready to go, he’s the first name,” he told BT Sport.

“If you want someone to make an instant impact in your team, he knows the league, he knows the flow of English football. It’s all well and good being part of a project but when United, Tottenham or Chelsea come for you, it will maybe turn your head.”

Earlier this month, Goal claimed that Manchester United were monitoring the 28-year-old and preparing to launch a £50million bid.

Edinson Cavani to Manchester United

Manchester United are exploring the idea of signing Edinson Cavani.

Cavani has helped Paris Saint-Germain win 18 trophies including five Ligue 1 titles since joining from Napoli in 2013, scoring a club-record 198 goals in all competitions.

However, the Uruguay international, who turns 33 next month, has found opportunities limited this season and is now keen to call time on his Parc des Princes stay.

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are thought to be leading the race to secure his signature, but Express Sport understands United are in the mix too.

However, The Telegraph report the interest is only ‘tentative’ with Ed Woodward and co. worried about his age, £360,000-a-week wages and his recent injury record.

Isco price

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to a report in Spain.

The Reds have already signed Takumi Minamino from Red Bull Salzburg for £7.25million this month as well as young striker Joe Hardy.

But another deal is in Klopp’s eyeline, according to Spanish publication El Desmarque.

The media outlet claim the German boss has identified Isco as a player who would add something different to his squad.

Express Sport understands that Los Blancos offered the Spaniard to Chelsea at the end of 2019 for £44million (€52m), hoping to fund a move for Christian Eriksen with the fee.

But El Desmarque’s report states that Florentino Perez now wants at least £59m (€70m) for the player.
