Chelsea told conditions they can complete Luka Jovic transfer deal from Real Madrid

Real Madrid have reportedly told Chelsea how they can complete a deal to sign Luka Jovic this summer after Frank Lampard’s side registered an interest in the striker.

Jovic has flopped since his £54million move to the Bernabeu at the start of the season.

The former Frankfurt striker has only scored two goals since joining Real – both of which came in the 90th minute with his side comfortably leading.

The 22-year-old earned a move to Los Blancos by netting 27 times in the Bundesliga and Europa League the previous year.

So he was signed by Zinedine Zidane to provide competition for Karim Benzema.

However, his switch to the Spanish capital has capsized and he has fallen down to third in the pecking order, behind Benzema and Mariano.

Zidane will look to offload the Serbian at the end of the season so he can press on and sign one of his top targets.

However, Jovic is still deemed one for the future so Chelsea have been told they can only take the forward to Stamford Bridge on loan, according to Diario Madridista.

Lampard is keen to add another attacker to his squad as Olivier Giroud, Willian and Pedro are all out of contract at the end of the season.

Tammy Abraham will be the only remaining striker so Jovic would add much needed firepower.

AC Milan, who missed out on signing Jovic permanently last summer, are expected to reignite their interest.

But a move to the Premier League could offer the former Red Star Belgrade and Benfica hitman the chance to rediscover his goalscoring form.

It would also offer Zidane the opportunity to press on with his summer plans.

The Frenchman is said to be interested in a host of Europe’s finest finshers – including Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

But the 21-year-old’s price tag will be way too high for a deal to cross the line in the next transfer window.

So fellow targets Erling Braut Haaland, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Harry Kane will be sought out.

As will Inter Milan ace Lautaro Martinez, who is being closely monitored by Barcelona.
