Chelsea star Eden Hazard demands transfer chiefs honour Real Madrid agreement

Stamford Bridge star Hazard is set to join Real Madrid this summer.

Hazard, 28, is a long-term target for the Spanish giants, with the Belgium international also publicly revealing his admiration for Real.

And according to The Sun, Hazard has asked Chelsea to honour their agreement to let him head to La Liga.

They say Blues transfer chiefs promised Hazard last summer he could join Real if he stayed for one more season.

Both Hazard and his agent have now reminded Chelsea of their agreement ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Sun add that Real are willing to pay up to £90m for Hazard this summer.

Hazard is out of contract next summer, meaning the Blues could lose their star man on a free transfer next year.

It’s also claimed Hazard is confident he’ll get his dream move to Real, with the winger already preparing for the switch.

Chelsea signed Christian Pulisic in January, with the USA international tipped to replace Hazard at Stamford Bridge.

A lot has been made of Hazard’s proposed move to Real, with former Premier League star Glenn Hoddle claiming he will be impossible to replace.

“They will only find out how important Hazard is after he is gone, unfortunately, because he is that good a player,” Hoddle said.

“What he does brilliantly is you can give him the ball and he will draw three players over to him and he can get you up the pitch.

“But he has goals in him and has got end product in there and around the penalty area. He is a danger.

“He has got everything going forward, possibly not all the time he doesn’t track back, but they will miss him.

“I actually think that he could be even better as a No 10 with two holding midfield players behind him.

“You could then just say to him go and play and he might get that if he goes to Real Madrid unfortunately.”
