Timo Werner hint

Timo Werner refused to rule out leaving RB Leipzig this summer.

The Germany international, 23, has attracted plenty of attention with Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona all credited with interest.

Werner signed a new contract at the start of the season and that’s thought to include a relatively low release clause.

Now, his potential suitors have been given even more encouragement.

“When you score 20 goals as a 23-year-old in a season then, of course, there is interest. That’s clear,” Werner told Kicker. “But, right now, I am not thinking about what happens in the future.

“We are going into many important games. That’s what I want to focus on now. I can still contemplate my future later.”

Becks wants Edinson Cavani

Edinson Cavani looks set to join Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.

However, the Uruguay striker could soon have a very interesting offer on the table from an unlikely source.

Cavani, 32, is out of contract with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and will be available on a free transfer.

Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea have been heavily tipped to challenge for his signature, but David Beckham’s new MLS outfit Inter Miami are also in the hunt.

“We have had conversations about Cavani, but I don’t want to make any comments further than that based on that he is a PSG player at the time,” Inter Miami’s joint-owner Jorge Mas told Sky Sports.

Tammy on Edi

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham says it would have been nice for the club to have signed Edinson Cavani.

The 32-year-old is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and was linked with a whole host of clubs across Europe, but most strongly Chelsea, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.

“The players we were talking about coming like Cavani and other top-class strikers who have been around in the game for many years,” he said.

“It would have been nice if he had come. He would have been someone I can learn off and steal his ideas to add to my own. It didn’t happen though and for me it gives me that extra push and desire to claim my position and be as best as I can.”

Jadon Sancho update

Manchester United are prepared to rival Chelsea to sign Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho.

The Blues tried to sign Sancho, 19, in January but the Bundesliga side decided against selling their 15-goal winger midway through the campaign.

Chelsea are expected to resume their interest in the summer and will reportedly pay up to £100million for his signature.

But the Daily Mail claim United are ready to match any offer their Premier League rivals submit.

Edinson Cavani blow

Manchester United and Chelsea never stood a chance of signing Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani.

The Premier League duo were understood to be keen on the Uruguayan international during the January transfer window, but the player’s agent insists his sights were only ever set on joining Atletico Madrid.

“Atletico could not cover the total economic cost of the operation and PSG did not want to lower the amounts he was asking for. Atletico Madrid did not close the agreement,” agent Walter Guglielmone said.

“Do you think that Edi did not play for almost a month at PSG so that I could drop the operation for a commission and that Edi did not fulfil his dream of going to Atletico Madrid? If it were for money, Edi would have gone to England, Manchester or Chelsea.”

Kepa Arrizabalaga replacement

Chelsea are looking to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga.

That’s according to Spanish website COPE, who claim the search for a new goalkeeper is already underway.

Frank Lampard dropped the 25-year-old Spaniard for Willy Caballero, 38, in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Leicester.

It was the first time Kepa had been left on the bench in the Premier League this term after a string of recent errors and just five top-flight clean sheets all season.

Arrizabalaga is Chelsea’s club-record signing at £71million and their joint-highest earner on £150,000 per week.

Jadon Sancho situation

Chelsea attempted to sign Jadon Sancho during the January transfer window.

Sancho, who is reportedly worth a staggering £100million and would represent a club-record signing for the Blues, has registered 15 goals and provided 16 assists in 27 appearances this season.

The England international was believed to be Chelsea’s top transfer target but Borussia Dortmund weren’t prepared to cash in midway through the campaign.

However, The Athletic claim the Bundesliga challengers will revisit the situation in the summer and could be prepared to do business.

Wanted: Victor Osimhen

Barcelona attempted to sign Lille star Victor Osimhen to play up front ahead of Lionel Messi in January.

That’s according to French publication Le10 Sport, who claim the Spanish champions contacted Lille to discuss the forward’s availability during the transfer window.

Osimhen, 21, has scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 31 appearances for the Ligue 1 side since arriving from Charleroi in July.

But his exploits, which Express Sport understands have alerted Liverpool, could see him leave after just 12 months.

Le10 Sport claim Barcelona remain interested and could launch a ‘summer offensive’ for the nine-capped Nigeria international, who is reportedly valued at £60million.

Real Madrid are also said to have contacted Lille for Osimhen in the final days of the transfer window as they tried to beat Barcelona to a deal.

Sky Sports claimed in December that Premier League trio Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool were interested.

Leroy Sane interest

Real Madrid are showing interest in Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.

Sane has been out since suffering a knee injury in the Community Shield last August, but has returned to first-team training.

But his days at the Etihad Stadium could be numbered.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are already known to be interested but Spanish outlet Eldesmarque claim Zinedine Zidane’s side are also circling.
