Tiemoue Bakayoko has hinted he is interested in returning to AC Milan as Chelsea prepare to sell him this transfer window.

Bakayoko has flopped spectacularly since his £40million arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Of the three seasons he’s spent as a Chelsea player, he’s been cast out on loan for two of them.

Blues bosses are now ready to get his £100,000-a-week wages off the books, and they have dramatically reduced his asking price in order to pave the way for him to leave.

After struggling under Antonio Conte, who signed him in 2017, he was sent to AC Milan on loan when Maurizio Sarri arrived and then loaned back to former club Monaco this season upon Frank Lampard’s arrival as Chelsea manager.

And with his future at Stamford Bridge looking extremely bleak, Bakayoko hinted he would be happy to go back to Milan on a permanent basis this summer.

‘Everyone knows that Milan is in my heart and I have good memories,’ Bakayoko told Tuttomercatoweb.

‘At the moment I’m a Chelsea player, then we’ll see in football.’

Milan are thought to be preparing a bid worth £13.5m, which is short of the Blues’ £20m asking price.

But the Serie A giants suspect they will agree a fee, with Chelsea chiefs desperate to offload him.
