Tiemoue Bakayoko had a moment to forget during AS Monaco’s 3-0 win over Amiens on Saturday when he forgot what shirt number he was wearing and tried to substitute himself off.

The French midfielder, on loan from Chelsea, used to wear the number 14 at the Stade Louis II before leaving the Ligue 1 side to move to Stamford Bridge.

He returned to Monaco this season on loan after failing to make an impact at Chelsea, with Frank Lampard allowing him to return to the club where he made his name.

However, Keita Balde Diao occupies the No. 14 shirt these days, meaning Bakayoko had to settle for No. 6.

That fact escaped him on Saturday afternoon when his manager Leonardo Jardim was trying to sub Keita off.

Bakayoko walked over to the touchline, thinking his number had come up, only to be reminded that he was, in fact, wearing the No. 6.

He turned around and bent over laughing, with Jardim also seeing the funny side – presumably because his side were 3-0 up.

After the match, the club posted the video on their Twitter page, with Bakayoko jokingly commenting below, ‘Give me back my 14 please’.

Former Chelsea team-mate and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas also saw the funny side, adding: ‘Only Baka could do something like that.

‘I couldn’t stop laughing. Love you bro ??????’
