CHELSEA Clinton was not impressed with the way Jay-Z reacted to Beyonce’s post-pregnancy weight loss.
The rapper had a fairly lacklustre response when Queen Bey showed off her incredible figure in a clip from her Netflix doc ‘Homecoming’.
After watching the scene, Chelsea called out Jay Z for his lack of enthusiasm for Beyonce’s hard work following the birth of their twins: Rumi and Sir.
Clearly proud of her post-baby body, Beyonce is seen FaceTiming her husband while wearing gold sequinned hotpants and a matching embellished top.
Throwing her arms out wide to showcase the skimpy ensemble, Beyonce tells her husband: “I’m back in my costume”.
“All right,” Jay-Z says in reply.
Trying to push for a more impassioned reaction, Beyonce says: “Big deal”.
The superstar even spins around for good measure and adds: “It’s zipped”.
But Jay-Z sticks to the same cool response, saying: “All right”.
A woman speaking off screen reflects the mood of female viewers everywhere when she asks: “Why aren’t guys as excited?”
The clip clearly resonated with Chelsea Clinton – who gave birth to her third child with husband Marc Mezvinsky in July.
Recalling watching the doc, she told The Cut: “I said, ‘Marc, if that’s ever me, you better have more enthusiasm’”.
“It wasn’t the ‘I’m so proud of you. That’s amazing’ that I arguably think any woman deserves, particularly someone who has clearly worked herself body, mind, heart, soul, and spirit to get to that place.”
Chelsea, 39, added, “Marc was like, ‘Duly noted’.”
The former first daughter was sure that any woman would agree with her.
“I was like, ‘I bet every woman watching this has this sense of she deserves more enthusiasm,’” she said.
“Marc was like, ‘I got it. Can we go back to watching it, please? We’ve talked about it three times in the last 90 seconds.’”
Beyonce had an emergency C-section to deliver her twins on June 13, 2017.
During her recovery period, she invested in self-care and self-love, and “embraced being curvier.”
Six months later, she started preparing for her Coachella performance, which ultimately took place on April 14 and 21, 2018.
In the moments before the FaceTime conversation in her Netflix documentary, Beyonce had revealed her strict regime to get back in shape for her Coachella performance in 2018.
Beyonce went on a plant-based diet for 44 days, which was created by Marco Borges, exercise physiologist and founder of 22 Days Nutrition.
The diet eliminated all meats, fish, alcohol, breads, carbs, and sugars from her diet in order to drop the baby weight.
“This is a serious accomplishment because I did not think I’d be able to get back into my old costume.
“I’m actually in it and I can still move. I still have a ways to go, but this makes me feel good, ‘cause I’ve been sacrificing and working hard,” Beyoncé said during the documentary.
