72: Great play from Chelsea’s youngsters Mount, Abraham and Hudson-Odoi. The latter looks to slip it through to Willian down the right but there’s too much on it.

70: Mateo Kovacic on for Ross Barkley. Frank Lampard looking to bolster his midfield with 20 minutes remaining.

68: Latest scores: Aston Villa 1-1 Burnley, Bournemouth 2-1 West Ham, Crystal Palace 1-0 Norwich, Tottenham 2-1 Southampton, Wolves 2-0 Watford.

63: Apparently we’re calling that Brighton’s first attempt on goal as Maupay’s shouldered effort dribbles down to Kepa. Doesn’t count in my book.

Anyway, more catastrophic defending from Burn, who doesn’t realise Tammy Abraham is lurking. The striker steals it off his toes but Ryan saves with his legs.

60: Just ticked past the hour-mark and the Blues hold a slender one-goal advantage.

58: That’s just what the doctor ordered I reckon. Callum Hudson-Odoi is warming up down the sidelines. Can’t imagine it’ll be long before we seen him introduced.

55: It’ll be interesting to see how long Frank Lampard leaves Ross Barkley on today. He’s taking far too many touches and has slowed the play down considerably.

52: That goal seems to have settled the nerves around Stamford Bridge. The fans are more vocal now, but they know another goal is required given Chelsea’s pesky habit on conceding.

49: Brighton are trying to be too cool at the back and Webster’s first touch is poor. Mason Mount flies in and the Brighton defender trips him over. Quick VAR check and the decision stands.

48: Blimey… what a dreadful start. Chelsea rushing and losing the ball frequently.

45: And we’re back underway. As you can see from the graphic below, Chelsea attempted 17 shots in the first half against Brighton. I suspect we’ll see a few more in the next 45 minutes. One change for Brighton as Bong comes on for Bissouma.

HT: Brighton make it to the break level. They’ve ridden their luck a fair amount with a few wasted chances from Ross Barkley and Marcos Alonso.

43: Chance! Cesar Azpilicueta bombs down the right and bends a cross through the penalty area for Marcos Alonso, who sends it over on the stretch. Chelsea turning the screw as we approach the break…

41: This is the only game without a goal in the Premier League so far. Aston Villa 1-0 Burnley, Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham, Crystal Palace 1-0 Norwich, Tottenham 1-1 Southampton, Wolves 1-0 Watford.

38: He’s GOT to score! Ross Barkley makes himself even less popular with Chelsea fans when sending Marcos Alonso’s great cross straight at Ryan. It was almost like a back-pass. So soft.

35: Another update, another booking. Incredible feisty this one. Alonso leads with his elbow when going up for a header with Montoya and goes in the book. Alzate then becomes the fourth yellow-carder.

33: Having one hell of a day in the Fantasy Football, folks. Ashley Barnes booked, Serge Aurier sent off. Great.

30: Neil Maupay joins the booking club when preventing Arrizabalaga from taking a quick throw. Not really worth a booking but Kepa’s theatrics were impressive.

27: Chelsea are no longer dominant at Stamford Bridge today. Brighton are really sticking to the task and having joy down the flanks. The Blues need to up the tempo and move the ball quicker – all a little slow and predictable now.

24: Ouch! Tomori’s brave when trying to hook the ball away from the darting Bissouma and takes a whack to the chops in the process.

21: Mason Mount isn’t static for a second! The attacker aims a cross towards Abraham in the middle but Webster is there to hoof it into orbit.

18: Woodwork! The Blues should take the lead as Mason Mount’s devilish in-swinging cross completely alludes everyone before crashing against the post. If Tammy Abraham gets a touch on that it’s a goal.

15: Willian decides to have a crack from distance. The Brazilian cuts inside in signature fashion but leathers it miles over… in non-signature fashion.

13: Well… Brighton are warming to the task ever so slightly. They’ve not created any chances but they have enjoyed more possession over the last five minutes.

10: Chance! Mount ghosts past Stephens with ease before teeing up Abraham, who chests it down and volleys over in the same motion. Tough finish in fairness.

8: Hate making these predictions so early but Brighton are in for a long afternoon if they continue like this. They are giving the ball away for fun and playing out from the back looks a risky proposition.

5: Penalty appeal! Mason Mount hits the deck under pressure from Lewis Dunk. The replays show he was actually stumbling down anyway and referee Chris Kavanagh waves play away.

3: Brighton haven’t started as deep as I would have expected. Certainly more advanced than in the Chris Hughton day. Saying that, only one of the visitors have touched the ball – and that’s goalkeeper Mat Ryan.

14:50: Frank Lampard believes Callum Hudson-Odoi can become the best player in the world and has urged him to listen to some “hard truths” and use Raheem Sterling as a role model.

“I know Callum’s talent and he’s got huge talent, hence why the club was so keen to get him signed up and we’re all delighted with that,” said Lampard. “But there is a lot of work to do.

“Raheem Sterling is an incredible example of a player with great talent whose work ethic added to that talent, and an improvement in a short period of time through absolute dedication to a complete player that we are all wowed by.

“(That) is exactly the great model for Callum because he has those talents. And I want him to be the best, the absolute best, because he has the potential to do that.”

He’ll have to prove that from the bench today… if he gets on of course.

CHELSEA vs BRIGHTON – TEAM NEWS

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard expects to have defender Andreas Christensen available for the Premier League game with Brighton at Stamford Bridge.

Centre-back Christensen has returned to training after suffering a knee knock in last weekend’s loss to Liverpool, but left-back Emerson Palmieri, who sustained a thigh problem in that game, will miss out.

Defender Antonio Rudiger (groin) and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Achilles) remain unavailable, while striker Olivier Giroud will be assessed following illness.

Brighton will be without centre-back Shane Duffy after the Republic of Ireland international suffered a calf problem in the midweek Carabao Cup defeat against Aston Villa.

Glenn Murray (ankle) should be available having returned to training, while Iran forward Alireza Jahanbakhsh could come into contention again following an injury picked up during the international break.

Winger Leandro Trossard (groin) continues his recovery, along with Solly March (thigh) and defender Bernardo. Jose Izquierdo (knee) and Ezequiel Schelotto (knee) also remain sidelined.
