In fact, MoneySavingExpert’s founder Martin Lewis revealed that this week is the best time to grab a bargain for those looking for cheap flights.

Our guide below includes holiday deals for families of four during the school summer break.

We’ve also included offers for those travelling without kids or with small children.

Bear in mind that prices can get very steep once the school holidays start, so it’s worth booking a break outside these dates if you have this possibility.

Lisa Tyndall, from Skyscanner, previously told The Sun that parents looking to cut the costs should also c onsider flying out from different airports to save money.

She said: “Those in the north of England might find that it’s cheaper to travel to a Scottish airport to get a cheaper flight to their destination as the Scottish school holidays are different to the English schools and flight prices are likely to be cheaper out of Scotland.

“It’s also worth considering booking two single flights rather than a return flight with the same airline”

Costa Brava, Spain

The Costa Brava, just a two-hour flight away from the UK, has long been a favourite holiday spot for Brits, thanks to its perfect combination of beautiful beaches, sunshine and great food.

Plus, you can easily take a day trip to visit the cultural delights of Barcelona from here.

Interested? Travelsupermarket.com is currently offering a week-long break for two adults and two children, which costs £263 per person when travelling from Manchester on July 29.

Corfu, Greek Islands

Brits choosing Greece for their annual holiday should head to Corfu, with a week-long stay at three star Helios Splendid selling for £333 per person on a self-catering basis.

Leaving London Gatwick on July 28, it’s the perfect choice for a family-friendly holiday with a vast range of facilities, so you can kickback and relax during your stay.

The hotel is ideally located, just a few minutes’ walk away from the beach and about 2km from the holiday resort centre of Messoghi and Moraitika, which are good places for shopping or for a walk by the sea.

Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain

Travelling from London Gatwick on June 17, the deal costs just £207 per person.

Bear in mind that this is outside school holidays, so it only works for parents with small children.

Marrakech, Morocco

Many people are unaware that Morocco has a huge range of beach destinations, perfect for both families and couples.

Staying at the three-star hotel Riad Si Amara, this deal costs just £167 per person for a week-long stay when travelling on July 2 from London Gatwick.

The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a relaxing spa and a wellness centre as well as a beautiful garden to relax after a day of shopping.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

The Algarve, Portugal
